Spondylolisthesis

Spondylolisthesis is a slipping between adjacent vertebra in the spine. This slipping can cause narrowing around the nerves in the spinal canal. If the narrowing is severe enough, there can be significant pain in the buttocks, thighs and/or legs. Numbness and weakness can also happen if the narrowing continues to progress. Sometimes surgery can correct both the narrowing and the slipping helping the legs feel better.
