Diagnoses

Below are some of the more common spine diagnoses. Click the links to learn more.

  • Herniated Cervical Disc - disc material pushes on nerves in the neck causing shoulder, arm, and/or hand symptoms.
  • Herniated Lumbar Disc - disc material pushes on nerves in the low back causing thigh, leg and/or foot symptoms.
  • Scoliosis - abnormal curvature of the spine.
  • Stenosis - area of the spine is constricted or tightened around nerves causing symptoms.
  • Spondylolisthesis - slipping of one vertebra on another.
  • Compression Fracture - low energy break in the front part of the vertebra.
  • Cauda Equina Syndrome - complete constriction of the nerves going to the lower part of the body causing decreased use of legs and loss of control of bowel and/or bladder.
