Arm Pain

Arm Pain can come from many causes. One of these is from the neck. Generally, pain or symptoms of numbness or weakness in the arm or arms that comes from the neck is caused by a nerve or nerves being irritated by disc material, bone spurs, or enlarged ligaments. Rarely is this dangerous, but it can cause significant symptoms that reduce overall function. It can become difficult to sleep, work, or even think when severe flare-ups occur.

Fortunately, for most individuals these symptoms are short lived and will resolve with conservative treatments, exercise, and time. However, for some the symptoms worsen and further evaluation may be needed. If there is a progressive loss of function of the arm or arms, a more urgent evaluation would be warranted.
